China’s exports surged 21.8 per cent year on year in dollar terms in January and February, putting the world’s second-largest economy on course for more record trade surpluses weeks before Donald Trump and Xi Jinping are set to meet in Beijing.
Export growth in the first two months of the year far exceeded the median forecast of 7.1 per cent from a Reuters survey of analysts and the 6.6 per cent increase in December.
